Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Year 12 Product Design students to Crosby Granger Architects HQ for an inspiring insight into the world of architecture. The students are working with us on a series of exciting projects to redesign key parts of their school which will be made into a large scale model showcasing the proposed improvements to mark the school’s 500th year
During their visit, Luke J. shared our expertise on what it takes to become an architect, the design process, and how architects shape spaces that positively impact communities. Each student has been tasked with redesigning a specific part of the school—ranging from the toilets and kitchen/canteen areas to the Sixth Form and CAPA blocks.
The final model will encompass the entire school site, complete with the river, road, and playing fields. Their 3D-printed designs will be assembled onto a laser-cut base, incorporating illuminated features to highlight the proposed changes. We’re proud to support the next generation of designers and architects as they bring their creative visions to life.
