Last week, we welcomed landowners, estate managers and rural professionals to Holker Hall for a thought-provoking event exploring the role of Whole Estate Planning in creating resilient, sustainable rural estates.
The event brought together experts from across the rural sector to discuss how estates can balance environmental stewardship, economic sustainability and community engagement while planning for the future. Through a series of presentations and discussions, attendees gained valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges facing rural estates in an evolving policy and environmental landscape.
Chris and Luke from Crosby Granger Architects shared our holistic approach to estate planning, highlighting how strategic, long-term thinking can help estates respond to changing priorities while protecting and enhancing the character of the landscapes they manage. We were also pleased to be joined by CSX Carbon, who provided insight into the financial and environmental opportunities presented by Biodiversity Net Gain.
The day concluded with a panel discussion featuring Phil Drane from the Lake District National Park Authority, providing attendees with the opportunity to ask questions and explore key issues affecting the future of rural land management.
